ādara® Makes Its Dutch Design Week Debut

From 17 to 25 October 2026, ādara® will make its debut at Dutch Design Week in Eindhoven, introducing a new generation of keratin protein fibers. In collaboration with designers Roger Haan and WANDSCHAPPEN, the material will be presented through furniture, objects, and spatial installations, demonstrating its potential for the interior textile industry.
Dutch Design Week, the largest design event in the Netherlands, brings together approximately 2,500 designers across more than 100 locations in Eindhoven each year. The 2026 edition takes place under the theme R.A.W. (Rebel Authentic Worth), encouraging designers to question established systems, embrace experimentation, and reconsider the value of materials and processes.
This year's theme closely aligns with the philosophy behind ādara®. What was once considered waste becomes a resource for textile production, challenging conventional ideas about material origins, value, and use.
From Material Innovation to Design Applications
For its first public presentation at Dutch Design Week, ādara® moves beyond material samples to explore how its fibers can be used in finished products and interior environments.
Working with Roger Haan and WANDSCHAPPEN, ādara® Felt takes shape through furniture, sculptural objects, and spatial installations. Each collaboration offers a different interpretation of the material, exploring its texture, structure, versatility, and relationship with the spaces we inhabit.
These projects demonstrate how collaboration between material scientists and designers can open new possibilities for emerging materials. Rather than defining a single application, the presentation invites visitors to discover the different forms and functions that ādara® can take.
